How to apply for IAS exam and opportunities?

If the UPSC IAS GURU team, then it is only that if you pass the Civil Services Examination in the first attempt, then the number of such students can not be reduced. In the first attempt every year, many students are successful in getting their name registered in the list of successful students of Civil Services Examination. Many times even such students appear in top 10. In such a way, your efforts should be successful in the first place. However, if this does not happen, then in the Civil Public Service Commission, the following opportunities are provided for the Civil Services Examination ,

  • Maximum four opportunities for general category students,
  • The number of opportunities for SC and ST students is not limited, i.e., regardless of how civil service can sit in the examination provided that they meet other qualifications such as age and educational qualification.
  • Other Backward Classes candidates are also given 7 opportunities to sit in the examination. This concession / rebate will be available to other backward category candidates who are eligible for reservation. Physically handicapped students will get the same opportunities as other students of their class. But seven opportunities have been provided to the general category disabled students, provided they get the reservation.

Often students ask questions about how the opportunity is counted. How do they understand that one of their opportunities is over? So let us know how opportunities to sit in exams are calculated;

  1. Seating in the initial examination is considered as an opportunity to sit in the examination.
  2. If the candidate examines virtually a question paper in the preliminary examination, then it is considered an opportunity for examination.
  3. Despite the disqualification / candidacy of cancellation, the fact of attendance in the candidate’s examination is counted as an opportunity.

How to apply?

So far, you have come to know that you are eligible to sit for the Civil Services Exam or else the next step is to apply for examination. Union Public Service Commission normally asks for applications of eligible candidates for the Civil Services Examination to be held for recruitment on various gazetted posts through advertisement in the month of December. But for the last 3 years it has been seen that the release of the Union Public Service Commission comes in the month of February. The initial examination takes one  days to complete and the main exam take five days completed.

Applicants are advised to present only one application. Even if an inevitable situation presents more than one application, then make sure that the higher RID application is complete in every way ie the details of the applicant, examination center, photo, signature fee etc.

Candidates sending more than one application should note that only the registration ID with high RID applications will be accepted by the Commission and the fee paid for an RID will not be adjusted for any other RID.

All the candidates have to apply directly to their application letter commission, whether it is in government service or in government industrial undertakings or similarly in any other organization or appointed in non-governmental organizations.

The person who is already working in a government job with a permanent or temporary status or is an employed employee, in which the person who does not attend the academic or daily rate is included, or those who are employed under enterprises, they have to submit this undertaking. That he has informed the head of his office / department in writing that he has applied for this examination.
