upsc eligibility criteria

When you look at the attraction of Civil Services Examination, you have decided to become an IAS and accordingly you have resolved to join the Civil Services Exam, then the first step in this direction should be to understood the examination and its system. Without the examination system, your efforts will be useless. My team comes with thousands of emails and Whats App every month, which shows that many students are not aware of the general things of the Civil Services Exam, even the facts of age and opportunity are not even known.

It is a distant thing to understand the examinations, but instead of laughing at the inquiries of such students, we should praise them because they want to remove all the questions arising from their mind before entering the exam. And this is a commendable step. Expecting students from small towns and villages in the country to be familiar with all the nuances of exams is not advisable. But it is definitely necessary to know about its processes before joining the Civil Services Examination. It must definitely happen if you are not aware of these procedures and are going to join the exams, then you are like that player of that cricket There is no information of wide and no ball and is ready to bowl.In this way, as a guide, this duty of the UPSC IAS GURU team is made that you should be introduced to those circulars of the Civil Services Examination which is expected from a candidate for Civil Services Examination.

Are you eligible for Civil Services Examination?

The minimum and maximum age limit for joining the Civil Services Examination of the Union Public Service Commission is as follows

  • 3. Students from other backward classes are also given 3 years’ exemption in the upper age limit i.e. they are eligible for admission to the examination till the age of 33 years.
  • 4. People of some other classes are also given the upper age relaxation which is not being mentioned.

What is the minimum educational qualification for the Civil Services Examination?

The degree or equivalent of any other educational institution considered as a university under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, established by the Central State Legislature of India, by the Registry of any University or Parliament, established by the Central Council of State Examination. Eligibility should be given to students who are applying for the Civil Services Examination. Have passed the examination but the result could not be released They are also eligible to sit in the preliminary examination but they have to submit the photo copy of all the certificates while applying for the main examination.

Under special circumstances, the UPSC can consider any such candidate as eligible for admission in the examination, with no degree given above, provided that the candidate has passed any such examination taken by any institution, whose level is according to the commission’s opinion. It may be that on the basis of which candidates can be allowed to sit in the UPSC exam. Candidates who have such business and technical qualifications, which are recognized by the government as equivalent to the professional and technical degrees, will also be eligible to appear in the UPSC examination.

Candidates who have passed their final Professional MBBS or any other medical examination but have not completed their internship while presenting the application form for the Civil Services Main Examination can also sit in the final examination, Provided that he should submit a copy of the certificate of this effect from the concerned university or institution with his application, that he has passed the final professional medical examination required. In such cases, candidates will have to submit their original degree or certificates from the concerned authority of the University / institution at the time of the interview that they have fulfilled all the requirements (including the completion of internship) to provide the degree.

In the case of academic qualification, students often have a question that the students of the last year of graduation can sit in the examination or from where they have graduated. Many students also have question that the certificates of Distance Education or Evening Classes or any other Board (Madrasa or Sanskrit Board) are recognized or not, as far as the first question is concerned, here we have already told Those students who are in the last years of the bachelor can also sit in the preliminary examination but while applying for the main exam, graduate examination must be passed as the Union Public Service Commission seeks all the certificates while applying for UPSC Chief Examination. Asks for shadow copy.

Let us now come to the second question whether the institution from which you have graduated or its equivalent has the degree of recognition or not. Then for this you can check it by going to the University Grants Commission UGC, Union Human Resource Development Ministry or the Ministry of Education’s Ministry of the respective states. There is a list of universities or educational institutions that get accreditation.

How many opportunities do I have to sit in the exams, and how to apply for the UPSC exam. You can find answers to such questions on the next post. Share it with your friends so that it can reach people who need them.
