UPSC IAS preparation for graduate students

There is a saying in the popular saying, ‘Jab jago tab savera’ means that whenever you realize your mistake, then you should try and improve it. I would like to clarify that the mistake in the context of the career is delayed. The decision of future determination in India is usually done by their guardian. Parents want to make their child doctor, engineer, trader, collector, SP or leader, according to their information or ambition. This thing is between those parents or parents who are educated, live in cities or live in villages but are aware. This problem is basically of the students whose parents or guardians are not less educated or aware. There are some students whose parents are aware but they do not have any information about the IAS examination or its selection process.

There is also a large section of students in India who after assuming the degree of graduation and post graduation thinks that what is to be done now, such a major reason for the delay of such students is also due to the awareness of the guardian or self Lacks India’s education system is also something like this, it is difficult for the students to decide their future determination according to their own interests, abilities or abilities. In such a situation, if the student is in a state of uncertainty even after reaching the graduation, then it can not be considered as a mistake.

On the other hand, the minimum qualification and age for joining the IAS (Civil Services Examination) examination are respectively graduation and 21 years, while the age of graduating students is usually 18-19 years. So, looking at the minimum age for graduating students and the minimum age for civil service, they still have 2 to 3 years of time.

Now let’s see what the students who are in Graduation and want to prepare for the Civil Services Examination, but they feel that they have delayed thinking too much. Such students have already been told that they do not have the minimum age for the exam, so the delay does not arise. If such students are still oriented with determination, then the level of their preparation can easily be worth the exam by reaching the age of the exam (21 years).Just delay is their decision or nothing.

Here are some strategies for such students-

  1. Students should first get information about the system of Civil Services Examination and their curriculum.
  2. Select the optional subject according to your interest. This subject may or may not be a graduate, because the choice of the optional subject should always be in accordance with its own interests.
  3. To prepare for general studies, the study of NCERT books should be started in all subjects from class 6 to class 12.
  4. It should also try to know about current events and their causes. Newspapers should read editorial articles, because the conceptual concept is strong on issues.
  5. Students should study the old question papers (both initial and main exam) in depth with the Civil Services Examination. On this side, the question paper format is understandable, on the other hand the nature of questions is also evident.
